In the largest PV solar project so far finished in Belgium, Talesun announced the company provided solely of all PV modules, which is its multi-crystalline type PIPRO TP672P, 72 cells poly modules. The total module amount of the project counts for 99.5 MW and makes the project a new scale record in history of this Western Europe country.
This big size project was initialed by a local Flemish Investment Company, LRM nv, and ENGIE Fabricom a subsidiary of the French energy giant ENGIE took the EPC role. The ground mounted solar field is comprised of 303,000 Talesun modules and covers an area of 93-hectare. The grid connected system is expected to generate approximately 85,000 megawatt-hours of electricity annually and offset roughly 140,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year. According to the report from PV Magazine, the project started last autumn and will provide clean energy to Nyrstar, a zinc manufacturing company.
Mr E. ROSIER, Department Manager of ENGIE Fabricom in Belgium said:” This project is the largest solar park in the entire Benelux region to date. It represents an important step in ENGIE’s aim to lead the zero carbon transition and promote a green environment to our next generation. We choose Talesun not only because of their satisfying track record around the world, but also because of their reliable modules and quick local service.”
Sonia Benard, General Manager of Talesun’s European branch highly praised the project and the role Talesun played. She said:” we are pleased to be part of this historical project in Belgium and help to push the world cleaner. For long term, Talesun devoted into the market of PV solar energy in Europe and played a more and more important role. After several years of cooperation with ENGIE in European market, we are excited to be continuing our partnership with ENGIE, who has proven to be an important and strong partner to have in developing the solar industry in Europe. We are recognized, accepted and praised by our European customers of our high quality products, customer-centered service, and quick response. This time, in order to satisfy customer’s strict time requirement to the deadline of the project planning, we took the risk to ship our module products to Belgium via Sino-Europe railway, which saved half time over ocean shipment, while much cheaper than via air.”
